Teamwork, precision and continuous improvement are essential elements to success in elite motorsports. These values align closely with EnerMech EPS operations and make the category an excellent fit for the EnerMech EPS brand. We are excited to announce that EnerMech EPS is joining with Cavalier Homes Racing Team as a season sponsor for the 2016 V8 Supercars Dunlop Series.
The V8 Dunlop Series is currently staged as the support series to the International V8 Supercars Championship which has catapulted in popularity to attract millions. Drawing 100,000 – 250,000 spectators to each event and boasting an average Australian television viewership of 19 million, as well as a broadcast range of 137 countries, the V8 supercars entertainment phenomenon offers exciting international exposure for EPS.
In the driver’s seat for Cavalier Homes Racing, driving the same Ford FG Falcon driven to 3rd place at the 2013 International V8 Supercars Championship by Will Davison, is second generation professional driver Matt Chahda, #18. As the recipient of the 2012 Formula Ford Rookie of the Year award and a track record that includes 4th place in the 2014 Kumho Tyres V8 Touring Car Series, the 23-year-old brings solid experience and a reputation as an emerging talent in the Australian motorsport scene.
Matt aspires to create a legacy as a winning driver, much like his father Amid, champion of the AMRC V8 Touring Car Challenge in the mid 2000’s. Currently sitting in 17th position out of 27 drivers with 292 points after three initial rounds, Matt is putting together a solid season. The four upcoming rounds are scheduled for 8-10 July in Townsville, 16-18 September in Sandown, 6-9 October in Bathurst, and 25-27 November for the final round in Sydney.
EnerMech EPS will be represented at the top of the front windscreen of Matt Chahda’s CHR Ford FG Falcon for the final four rounds of the series. This national and global visibility supports our reputation as a leading electrical and mechanical contractor on many of Australia’s largest and most complex projects. Watch Matt race for Cavalier Homes and EPSA during LIVE coverage of Round 4 in Townsville, 12pm – 6pm on Channel TEN, Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th July 2016.
