EnerMech EPS is proud to sponsor the Good Shepherd Netball Club (GSNC) of Good Shepherd Primary School at Wheelers Hill in Victoria. With over 40 years of history, the GSNC is a self-funded, non-profit netball club that encourages diversity and inclusion among children and teenagers within the local community.
Netball is Australia’s most popular sport among females, with males increasingly participating, which is represented by over one million players nationwide. This is apparent in the Waverly City area as the GSNC has grown to field 16 teams holding a total of 134 players, with team training sessions and competitive matches becoming staple events on the community calendar. All players, ranging from ages 11 and under through to open age, are registered in the Waverly City Netball Association (WCNA), while players from teams 13 & Under and above are also entered into the WCNA Tournament at Jells Park Netball Centre. The WCNA and WCNA tournament are structured to encourage participation and continued skills development for members of all levels of experience and ability.
The family-orientated GSNC works to give back by instilling the values of tolerance, teamwork and perseverance through a code of conduct that incites all involved with club, including players, spectators and staff, to foster and promote the inclusion of all individuals and families. EnerMech EPS is supporting this grassroots activity with the provision of GSNC’s equipment including:
- 16 netball bags
- 48 new netballs – 3 for each bag
- 10 Running ladders
- 10 new sets of bibs
- 32 Skipping ropes – 2 for each bag
EnerMech EPS is committed to assisting the communities in which we operate and we hope our contribution will assist the GSNC in continuing to provide an affordable, life skills-building sporting experience to its young members and their community.
