APLNG is Australia’s leading Coal Seam Gas (CSG) producer and is a joint venture between Origin, ConocoPhillips and Sinopec. Water Treatment Facilities are a key infrastructure piece of the multi-billion dollar, world-class CSG to LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) export project expected to boost the QLD economy to the tune of $A2 Billion annually.
Scope of Work
Having successfully delivered expert teams on a number of important infrastructure projects in Queensland, EnerMech was selected to provide electrical and instrumentation services to support Origin’s Pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up and on-going maintenance activities at their water treatment facilities at Reedy Creek and Condabri, South Central.
An essential element for EnerMech EPS will be to complete the final stages of construction, including the implementation of all final design changes that have been.
As with any completions project, EnerMech will provide Quality Assurance services in tandem with the design works. The resultant QA Packs will be bundled by the Completions Team and submitted to EnerMech Commissioning Team so project commissioning may commence.
Moving on from the Completions and QA phase, the EnerMech Commissioning team will ensure all areas of the installation are in a state of readiness for the initial energisation. At this stage the team will commence energisation and commissioning for each system in the facility, to ensure the systems function in accordance with the design intent and commissioning philosophy.
Once each system is proven to be ready, they will be amalgamated to form the actual process of water treatment at the Facility. This process includes bringing online a range of supervisory communications systems such as SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) and those which will enable reporting back to control centres in the local townships.
A combination of personnel, equipment and special expertise have been deployed to Water Treatment Facilities in both Condibri and Reedy Creek.
In line with the EnerMech philosophy of retaining cohesive teams with a proven record of success, expert personnel were assembled, the core of whom had worked closely on other comparable projects in the Surat Basin region.
As EnerMech will be responsible for the construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning of all onsite instrumentation, an end-to-end solution was required to ensure client requirements were met and exceeded. This solution will include Superintendents, Supervisors, Instrument Technicians and Instrument Engineers, Commissioning Engineers, CCMS Managers and Coordinators, HSE advisors, Permit To Work Isolators and Coordinators, Hazardous Area Inspectors, Electricians, Trade Assistants and onsite administration staff.
