Construction and Commissioning of 132kV sub stations

EnerMech EPS has been sub contracted by GE Energy for the construction and commissioning of the 3 x 132kV sub stations at the Solomon Mine. These sub stations supply the entire mine operations with 120MW of power.

The Project started mid 2012 and first energisation was achieved in late December 2012. The subsequent sub station was energised shortly after that to provide power to the Fire Tail Crushing Hub and Ore Processing Facility. The third sub station was energised in March 2013 this sub station will supply power to the Kings Valley Crushing Hub and Ore Processing Facility. The Kings Valley section of the mine is expected to begin energisation in late 2013.
